A: All guests (non-members) at CHPC&T must be sponsored and accompanied by an active member of the cigar lounge & bar based on prior approval of management. Each level of membership offers the opportunity to bring a guest (non-member).
Q: Must you live on Capitol Hill or in Washington, DC to become a member of the CHPC&T cigar lounge & bar?
A: Absolutely not, CHPC&T will actively sell memberships to individuals who are not residents of Washington, DC.
Q: Does a member of CHPC&T receive any extra benefits or discounts?
A: Yes, memberships at the Titanium & Platinum levels include a number of benefits and discounts.
Q: Are memberships transferable or refundable?
A: CHPC&T annual memberships are not transferable or refundable.
Q: What should I do if I do not want to continue my membership after paying in full?
A: Membership is based on an annual fee. Once the membership fee is paid, the contract is an annual agreement which binds each member to the one (1) year commitment. Membership fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. However, the management of Capitol Hill Premium Cigars & Tobacco (CHPC&T) will review, evaluate, and respond to the written request to terminate membership for all members.
Q: If I buy a membership at the Platinum Level (Cigar Comrade), can I upgrade to the Titanium Level before my one (1) year contract agreement expires?
A: Yes, any membership can be upgraded during its term. To do so, just stop in to the CHPC&T and speak with a manager. You will be credited with the remaining pro-rated part of the Platinum Level membership and will begin a new one year (12-month term) with the upgrade.
Q: How will the charge appear on my credit card statement?
A: Your credit card statement will reflect the name Capitol Hill Premium Cigars & Tobacco (CHPC&T) the name of the business.
Q: What happens if my credit card is declined?
A: We will attempt to reprocess the card and if it does not clear on the 2nd attempt, you’ll receive a courtesy notice asking for an alternative payment method. As we incur a $15.00 re-processing fee each time your card does not clear, that charge is passed on to you.
Q: Will there be a specific limit on the number of memberships sold?
A: Eventually, CHPC&T will establish a waitlist. Our criteria for the number of memberships sold will be based on activity levels along with permit and license restrictions, rather than on a fixed number of members. The management at CHPC&T will monitor the number of members and the level of access along with wear and tear on the facility will determine when a waitlist will begin.

A: CHPC&T cigar lounge & bar services will match or exceed the quality of any area cigar lounge. A complete range of first class events and activities will be offered on a year-round basis. A monthly e-newsletter with the activities will be provided to members and posted in the cigar lounge. Activities offered at CHPC&T cigar lounge & bar will focus on the needs of the cigar lover among a broad base of the membership.
